Well. I have so many creative ideas and projects that I have already overwhelmed myself done nothing. So my first goal is to prioritize and narrow down all my ideas. But where to begin? I want to do it all but I've seen where that leads.
I have to start small and not set myself up for failure. I want to rediscover my creative self. Art Journaling changed my life. It is priority one creative outlet. Ideally, I want to journal daily. There are amazing journal challenges and blogs all over the internet. As much as I want to sign up for each one, I have decided to come up with my own journaling challenge. Something that incorporates artistic expression, lists, quotes, collage, and soul searching.
So, here is goal one.
Customize a Journal and decorate the Cover. Including the title Creating Myself. Why this title? Because I want to become everything I am meant to. A better mom, more creative, healthier, stronger.
I will work daily in my Journal. The only rule I am giving myself is there are no rules. I must do something creative: Collage, poetry, art journaling, drawing, watercolor, or just creative writing. Starting today.
Before setting a second goal, I want to get the routine of daily creativity well established. So I am going to set the mini goal of doing this for 30 days. Holding myself accountable to myself is a huge challenge but one I am going to face head on. I thought about joining one of the many online journaling or art challenges but I felt I would start comparing myself to the other participants or creating work I thought would be expected of me. I want my journal to be 100% Brandi from heartfelt journaling to the smallest doodle.
I want to commit to posting my work daily but I really want to start off slow and not over commit out of excitement ( Something I seem to do often.) So I will say I will post my art journal pages at least weekly and more often if possible.
